For professional chainsaw operators working in forestry and arboriculture the industry recommendation is that for ’high risk ‘activities (paragraph 137 PUWER ACOP) the minimum level of adequacy of training is to a certificate of competence or nationally recognised qualification where assessment is carried out independently of the training. Ideal if you’re working on farms, in woodland, on building sites or in conservation, you’ll gain
the expertise needed to use and maintain a chainsaw and run through all the pre-cutting tests and learn the skills needed to expertly cross-cut timber
The aim of the NPORS Chainsaw Maintenance & Crosscutting (N602) course is to ensure learners can safely and efficiently maintain and operate chainsaws for crosscutting, reducing risk of injury and improving operational efficiency.
By the end of the course, learners will be fully competent in chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting, ensuring safety, compliance, and productivity in forestry and arboriculture tasks.
Upon successful completion of the NPORS Chainsaw – Maintenance and Crosscutting (N602) course with TUPPCO Training, learners will receive an NPORS N602 certificate, confirming competence in the safe use, maintenance, and crosscutting of chainsaws in forestry, arboriculture, and grounds maintenance environments.
Ideal for arborists, forestry workers, grounds maintenance teams, and anyone using chainsaws for crosscutting, trimming, or timber processing.
TUPPCO Training provides on-site chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting training, allowing your team to train using your chainsaws, timber, and work environment, for maximum relevance and practical learning.
