Tuppco Training at Stow Ag – Supporting Skills Across All Stores

Chevron recently participated in a Lantra Robotic Mower training and assessment course, expertly delivered by Bertie Tupper of TUPPCO, in Witney, Oxfordshire. This cutting-edge session is part of a drive to boost operational expertise and safety in robotic lawn care, aligning with the latest trends in landscaping technology.

Lantra Telehandler & Counterbalance Forklift Training with Stow Ag — Delivered by Tuppco Training

At Tuppco Training, it’s always a pleasure to return to familiar faces, and recently we delivered another round of Lantra-accredited Telehandler and Counterbalance Forklift training for the team at Stow Ag. This visit continued our ongoing partnership, which has seen Tuppco Training supporting Stow Ag staff across all of their locations, including Longborough (Stow), Thame, Alton, and Hereford.

With over five years of collaboration, we’ve had the privilege of helping Stow Ag teams maintain the highest standards of safety, competence, and efficiency in the operation of essential agricultural and landscaping machinery.

About Stow Ag — Supporting Agriculture, Landscaping, and Fencing

Stow Ag is a well-established agricultural supplier in the Cotswolds, providing a comprehensive range of products for fencing, landscaping, and farming. Their commitment to staff development and safety is clear, investing in ongoing training to ensure all operators are competent and confident when using machinery on site.

For Tuppco Training, working with a forward-thinking company like Stow Ag means tailoring each Lantra training course to meet real operational needs while embedding best-practice health and safety standards.

Lantra Telehandler & Counterbalance Forklift Training

During the recent sessions, Tuppco Training focused on developing practical skills, operator confidence, and compliance with current health and safety legislation. Key aspects of the training included:

  • Telehandler Training: Safe load handling, manoeuvring in confined spaces, understanding stability, and performing pre-use checks.

  • Counterbalance Forklift Training: Correct lifting techniques, load security, site-specific hazard awareness, and operational efficiency.

Each course was delivered hands-on, allowing participants to practise in realistic environments, ensuring skills can be directly applied to everyday work activities.

A Personal Connection and Lasting Partnership

This visit was particularly special as it included a trip to Stow Ag’s newest store in Herefordshire — a fantastic facility (see photo below!). For the Tuppco Training team, working with Stow Ag also has a personal connection: before founding Tuppco Training, we personally used Stow Ag for supplies while running a fencing and landscaping business. It’s been rewarding to now support their staff development from the training side.

Over the years, Tuppco Training has seen the professionalism and enthusiasm of Stow Ag staff across all locations, and it’s always inspiring to work with a team so committed to competence, safety, and ongoing development.

Looking Ahead

A huge thank you to everyone at Stow Ag for continuing to invest in high-quality Lantra training for your teams. Tuppco Training looks forward to supporting your ongoing commitment to safe, efficient, and skilled operation of Telehandlers, Forklifts, and other machinery.
