  • What is the QA Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid (RQF)?

    The QA Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a responsibility to provide first aid in outdoor or activity-based environments. Successful candidates will gain the knowledge and skills needed to treat a range of conditions that could occur during any form of activity, from life-threatening illnesses to minor injuries.
    This qualification is ideal for people who have a specific interest or responsibility in professional, voluntary or community activities such as sports or outdoor events.

  • Venue and Equipment Requirements:
    • Suitable and safe area to complete paperwork

  • Theory assessment:
    • Theory assessment/multiple choice question papers – there is 1 paper for each Learner and Learners should answer all the questions under ‘examination’ conditions.
    • Guidelines: 
      • The maximum time allowed for Unit 1 is 25 minutes and for Unit 2 it is 45 minutes
      • The minimum mark is 11 out of 16 for Unit 1 and 21 out of 30 for Unit 2 in order to be considered for an overall ‘pass’
  • Practical assessment criteria
    • Practical assessments – observed by the Trainer throughout the course, with the results of each learning outcome recorded on the practical assessment paperwork. 
    • There are 6 mandatory and 1 optional practical assessment for this qualification:
      • CPR and safe use of an AED
      • Choking casualty
      • Unconscious casualty
      • Wounds, bleeding and shock
      • Management of fractures
      • Secondary survey
      • Optional extra – Catastrophic bleeding

Objective Of Course

The objective of the Qualsafe Activity First Aid (RQF) – QA Level 2 Award with TUPPCO Training is to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively to accidents and emergencies in activity and outdoor settings. Participants learn to provide first aid confidently, ensuring the safety of participants until professional help arrives.
