For professional chainsaw operators working in forestry and arboriculture the industry recommendation is that for ’high risk ‘activities (paragraph 137 PUWER ACOP) the minimum level of adequacy of training is to a certificate of competence or nationally recognised qualification where assessment is carried out independently of the training. Ideal if you’re working on farms, in woodland, on building sites or in conservation, you’ll gain
the expertise needed to use and maintain a chainsaw and run through all the pre-cutting tests and learn the skills needed to expertly cross-cut timber
Tuppco proudly delivers on-site training courses across a wide region of the South and Central UK. From Dorset, Somerset, and Wiltshire to Reading, Oxford, and Swindon, our team provides expert, accredited instruction at your workplace using your own equipment. We specialise in NPORS plant training, Lantra land-based and machinery courses, and Qualsafe first aid and health & safety training. Businesses across Berkshire, the Cotswolds, Hampshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Buckinghamshire, Cheltenham, and Northamptonshire rely on Tuppco for flexible, professional training solutions that minimise downtime and maximise compliance.
The goal of the Lantra CSW11 Chainsaw Crosscut & Maintenance (Training Only) course with TUPPCO Trainingis to build solid foundations in chainsaw safety, maintenance, and basic cutting techniques, preparing learners for industry-standard operations and future assessments.
By the end of the training, learners will have the theoretical and practical skills needed for safe ground-based chainsaw work and progression to assessed qualifications.
Upon successful completion of the Lantra Chainsaw Crosscut and Maintenance – Training Only (CSW11) course with TUPPCO Training, learners will receive a Lantra training certificate confirming that they have completed professional training in the safe maintenance, setup, and crosscutting techniques required for ground-based chainsaw work.
Note: This is a training only course and does not include independent Lantra assessment. If you require a full assessed qualification, TUPPCO Training can arrange this separately.
Perfect for grounds workers, estate teams, agricultural staff, forestry assistants, apprentices, and anyone needing professional chainsaw maintenance and cutting training before taking an assessed qualification.
The Lantra CSW11 training only course typically takes 1–2 days, depending on experience and group size.
TUPPCO Training offers this course directly at your site, enabling staff to train using your chainsaws in the exact working environment they operate in. This strengthens practical understanding and ensures safe, efficient work practices.
TUPPCO Training delivers UK-wide, including the Cotswolds and surrounding regions.
