The most popular screener found on a construction or quarry site for bulk applications is the vibratory screener. As the materials move across the screen it creates vibrations in order to shake out the smaller particles and remove any clumps. The material is separated and travels along conveyor belts to form stockpiles.
Pass mark is less than 20 penalty points and no mandatory disqualifications
Time allowed is 1 hour 15 minutes
Tuppco can deliver onsite training nationwide using venue and equipment supplied
The aim of the NPORS Screener (N208) course is to provide learners with the knowledge, operational skills, and confidence required to operate mobile and static screening equipment safely and efficiently. The course focuses on safe set-up, operation, shutdown, and maintenance procedures, ensuring compliance with NPORS standards and reducing the risks associated with screening operations in construction, quarrying, and recycling environments.
Understand screener components, controls, functions, and limitations
Learn correct PPE requirements, operator responsibilities, and site safety procedures
Conduct pre-use inspections, defect reporting, and machine start-up checks
Operate the screener safely during feeding, sorting, and material separation tasks
Identify hazards including blockages, entrapment risks, dust, vibration, and noise
Apply safe working practices and NPORS-approved operational methods
Develop confidence in managing materials, maintaining throughput, and ensuring screen efficiency
By the end of the course, learners will be competent and confident in operating screening equipment safely, helping improve production efficiency, reduce downtime, and maintain a safe working environment.
Upon successful completion of the NPORS Screener (N208) course with TUPPCO Training, learners will receive an official NPORS N208 certificate, confirming their competence in the safe operation of screening machinery in line with industry and NPORS standards.
Official NPORS N208 Certificate / Operator Card
Verified competence in operating screening equipment safely
Understanding of safe material handling, feed control, and screening processes
Knowledge of hazard identification, risk management, and safe working procedures
Skills in pre-use inspections, safe shutdown, and emergency stopping procedures
This course is ideal for construction staff, quarry workers, recycling plant operators, demolition teams, and anyone required to operate a screener as part of their daily duties in industrial, commercial, or construction settings.
